Advice for Democrats

To my several friends on the Democratic side of the aisle, here is my advice for the coming weeks: Be very leery of any elected representative who will tell you what you want to hear… instead of representing what you have asked them to do.

The House has voted on the articles of impeachment and their job is complete (save the few who will act as managers (read: trial lawyers) in the Senate). It is time to send the articles to the upper house, and any elected House of Representative official should not care what happens next (unless of course there is a political / personal agenda). This is why we have a separation of powers in the US Constitution, and why it takes BOTH chambers (upper and lower) to remove a President. So, if those elected to represent you don’t perform or don’t know how to accomplish their basic job function … how can they be trusted to do anything else?
