Remember when you first heard about Jesus and what He could do for you? What was your initial response? In John 1 we see the response of two men, devoted to following John the Baptist, willingly leaving to follow Jesus because they knew they must! It was almost as if something within their soul told them that following Jesus was the one thing they were missing in their lives.
Both of these men had careers (fishermen), both of these men had families who loved them, and yet both of them left everything without even so much as a ‘goodbye’ to follow Jesus to where He was staying. Is this our response also? Are we willing to give up everything to follow Him today? Why not?
