Whenever we are faced with responding to the “noise” of this world, the most effective and proven position we can take is to reflect on God’s Word and ensure that our response lines up with what it says. Even when faced with foolish temptation, Jesus was faithful to adhere to scripture and stand firm by relying on God’s word.
For the believer today, it is critical that in everything we do – our opinions, feelings, and even our personal preferences take second place to God’s Word, and that we listen intently to the guidance of the Holy Spirit which sometimes may even tell us to keep silent (see Proverbs 26:4)!! May God protect our witness for Him, as we share our testimony to this world, and may we fully rely on His Word to lead, guide, and direct us each day this week.
