Studied in context, John 3:16 has a far deeper meaning for each person than just a catch phrase, a religious slogan, or even for some: a trigger for rebellion. It is truly the revelation and pathway of life that Jesus shows us, and it is all encapsulated in the teaching directed at one of Jerusalem’s authoritative teachers.
If a man like Nicodemus needed to hear these words, how much more does the modern day resident of Earth need to hear that eternal salvation is still available? The challenge today (especially for those who already know this truth), is who will we tell this too and let people know that rescue from sin is just an acceptance of an invitation away!
