One of the pivotal lessons each follower of Jesus must learn is that Jesus is to be the center and the purpose of everything we do. This is the truth of what John the Baptist spoke of in John 3:30, and how we can learn from it to not allow jealousy, bitterness, or anything else that we might feel towards others cloud our response to what God is doing.
Even in a world where we are constantly pitted up against one another, if we will keep Jesus at the center of our life we are able to declare that He is the only thing that matters. As you go about your week, consider the words of John 3:30 as a challenge to be more than a catchy slogan, but a method to how we live, work, and deal with one another.
If we will put Jesus first … truly, what might we accomplish?
