The continued examination of the conversation between Jesus and the woman at the well is a great study in evangelism, hope, and encouragement that God has given us in His Son to forgive our sins. When we consider the transparency in which Jesus speaks, we must not only see ourselves in this conversation (first in the position of the woman who has sinned), but also in the position of the penitent person who willingly confesses our sin (before the Savior of the world).
One thing we must always keep in mind is that Jesus speaks to us from a place of authority, but also from a place of genuine concern for each one of us. The challenge right now is: Will we emulate this same behavior and seek out others we can love in the same way, while also repenting of our sin when we are confronted?
God bless you.
