Obedience to God is a requirement if we are ever to see any results in our life. Whether it is our prayer life, our witnessing, how we act on the job, our relationships with family, and even the things we might consider “mundane” … if we are not beginning all of these with obedience to God we are truly functioning in futility (see Ecclesiastes 1:2).
When Jesus speaks to us, are we truly following Him – or are we waiting for the things that we find convenient to take action? If we are obedient, it will show in all things that we attempt because we are doing so from a place of love for Him, because we value His approval over all others. Consider where you are today: Are you truly following?
