We still need Grace!

On the heels of understanding the reason for God’s incredible gift by sending His Son to die, we see Jesus continuing to testify in John 5 about our desperate need for salvation.  What we must understand is that the Law, which was given to correct our behavior, is still the standard God will use to correctly judge those who have refused His grace.  Today’s unmistakable truth is that His grace is a gift, given through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and is the only way to be forgiven of our sins. 

Without this gift, we each stand condemned under the Law (refer to Exodus 20) because none of us could ever live up to meeting those standards … except for One … and His name is Jesus!  Prayerfully, when this life ends and you stand face to face with a God who has always loved you, you will be prepared because you’ve received His Son, as that is the only thing that will bring you mercy.  This is the Gospel message, and the basic foundation we all must receive and then share with our struggling world.
