Faith requires that each of us accepts that we are not in control, and that in the admitting of that truth we are presented with a real opportunity to understand Who is! However, asking God to “prove” that He is real continues to be a challenge that is not only seen all over scripture, but right now in our lives.
Jesus asked us to do one thing (see John 6:29), which is to “… believe in the one he has sent”, yet we continue to look for excuses, logic, reasons, definitions, etc., which are all based on our own human desire to control our situation, BEFORE we will put our faith in Him. In our world of chaos and confusion, considering that God has only asked us to do one thing, why are we so resistant to do what He has asked and allow Him to be our Lord and help us navigate this world?
If you are honest with yourself, it’s worth examining, isn’t it?
