Encouraging Note for May 27, 2011

Rev Charles H. Spurgeon wrote, “There is no fatigue so wearisome as that which comes from lack of work.” Serving God is not a matter of option, but a matter of responsibility for all believers to take hold of and execute. In order to grow, we must remember to serve God in everything that we do, regardless of the task. The input that we receive in our hearts is God’s Grace, and the output must be what forms our testimony in service to others, for His Glory alone. Can we think of 1 person this week who might need our service? I’m sure there is more than 1 in our lives, but what kind of change could it make if we started with just 1?

May God bless you this week!! ~ Rev TJ

Be holy … Life application

1 Peter 1:16 says, “… for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Do you want to make a difference in your world?
Do you want to live a holy life?

Try these on for size:

1. Be faithful to your spouse.
2. Be the one at the office who refuses to cheat.
3. Be the neighbor who acts neighborly.
4. Be the employee who does the work and doesn’t complain.
5. Pay your bills.
6. Do your part and enjoy life.
7. Don’t speak one message and live another.

Remember, people are watching the way we act more than they are listening to what we say.
