Prayer: An open line of communication gifted to us by Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, because of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
Truly, there is NO other tool more powerful for the church today, and we must ensure that we are using it appropriately, powerfully, and with the intention of drawing us into a closer relationship with God. (This is the same God who loved us so much that He gave us His Son as a mercy gift to pay for our sin!) At the conclusion of their final Passover meal (see John 17), Jesus emphasizes and demonstrates what prayer looks like with a deliberate display of how to pray.
With all the chaos that we face every single day, does our prayer life look like this when times are good AND bad? Are there things we need to pray about that we aren’t? Are we following this same example to intentionally pray for God’s will to be done?
