Let’s be honest …
One of the most difficult tasks that any believer faces is the abandoning of things we like because it conflicts with the obedience God has called us into. Whether it is refusing to sin, humbling ourselves, offering forgiveness to others, laying down mistrusts, etc., God has called us to lean into His Son for everything that we need and willingly abandon the things which do not bring us closer to Him.
Proverbs 18:10 encourages us by saying, “The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.” Will we take this simple encouragement and lean on Him for everything we need this week?
