People need to know Jesus, but they don’t need to know every opinion we have. IMHO, this is why social media has become such a cesspool of information; because once every thought ever had has been made visible — it’s hard to hear (or even see) what is actually valuable through all the noise.
Consider the next time you’re about to post, will it:
- Bring education to someone?
- Edify the church somehow?
- Celebrate a great moment?
- Give glory to the One we serve?
Or is the intent just to complain from our opinion’s view and see how people we can get on our “side”? Truly – how we use social media really does matter as it can be a tremendous tool for witnessing. So, are we using it wisely?
