Why is it that when Jesus spoke plainly to those in His time about who He is, they refused to believe Him? Rather, they continued to ask for more proof that He was the Messiah. While we may never find out the answer to that question (for them), we certainly have to ask ourselves why WE continue to ask Him the same thing today!
In fact, Jesus’ message then and now continues to be consistent, reliable, and God’s foundation of truth – yet humanity continues to deny Him while holding up whatever other gods are of value in this society such as Baal, Zeus, Allah, Buddha, etc. When will the people God created step up and confess Jesus as Lord so others may know Him also?
One thing is certain … all of creation will do so either before death or after (see Philippians 2:9-11), and truly, knowing Him as Lord before you meet Him is the most important decision you will ever make.
