“Lazarus … “

​Many remember, and some can even quote, the line spoken by Jesus that brought Lazarus from the grave. But, do we truly understand the ramification of Jesus’s power being displayed so publicly? One of the most impactful miracles of His ministry led to the settled belief that Jesus was a danger to this world, and because of it He had to be killed.

Consider for a moment: If Jesus were here and had performed this same miracle today … would our society react any differently? Understanding the world that we live in and knowing it is no different from this time in John 11 is crucial if we are ever going to effectively share Jesus with our community.

The challenge is – will we admit that we are no different than them – and that we need Jesus today just as much as they did?
