Servanthood is one of, if not the most, consistent character traits that Jesus continued to model for us throughout His ministry. Even so much as dying on the cross to pay for the sins of creation (even our sin) to satisfy the Father’s demand for the forgiveness of sin.
If there is any encouragement that the Church can take to the world today – it is to be a servant in all things! Whether we might pick up a piece of trash on the sidewalk, return a shopping cart to the corral at the store, or even cook a meal for someone in need – serving one another is an effective way to show someone else they matter to a God who has sent YOU into their lives.
The challenge is: will we serve one another this week?
