Life’s Challenges

Whenever I think about how difficult life is, I’m always reminded and encouraged by these two verses, especially this week. Imagine this: Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and God’s only Son, who is about to be arrested and crucified for me … prays for me. What if we treated one another like this and willingly gave of ourselves for other people?

John 17:11-12, “I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.”

What I know …

I don’t know what’s going to happen in the face of the terrorism and continued violence we are seeing daily …

But I do know two things for absolute certain:

1) Jesus is Lord, and,

2) If our faith and focus is not in Him we have no real hope.

Prayerfully, we will consider this as a nation, and look to the provider of everything we need, Jesus Christ.
